001. First Sight
"Come along scarlet." Someone called as I snapped my attention back to the elderly lady that was showing my mother a house, a stone house set perfectly in a quaint little town. I pulled my long dirty blonde hair over my shoulder as I fallowed the sales lady around the vacant home. Sometime I realized was houses always looked peaceful when you first moved in but after a while they just become places that hold hurtful memories, which always made me wonder what had happened in a house before we moved there.
"So what do you think scar?" My mom asked talking to me like I was five, I hated it when she was so condescending. I rolled my eyes as I walked around the house trailing my fingers along the walls where I'm sure someone elses pictures once were. For 15 I was very thoughtful, not all giddy about the latest famous guy or crazy about the latest trend.
"You know how I feel about houses mom." I said as I stopped and sat in the large bay window that looked out on the train tracks and the large fountain. I tipped my head to the side as I saw a couple of kids running around. They looked like they were having fun; there was a large one with dark spiky hair that was snapping photos, there was a girl with red-ish brown hair that was making faces at the one with a camera, there was one that looked like he was just trying to look tough, but there was one that really stood out.
He was blonde, his hair sticking up in different directions as he smiled with the rest of them. You could tell by the look on his face and his bright blue eyes that there was something plaguing him that he was just dying to say. He looked up to where I sat in the window his eyes connecting with mine while his group of friends ran by him. "Roxas come on." I could hear the girl yell. He lifted his hand as if to wave at me but she reappeared and took his hand running off with him.
"Mom I like this house." I shouted staring at the spot where he'd been standing. She appeared behind me, "I thought you'd like the window." She said smiling as her and the elderly lady went through the details. I could hear them far off talking as my mother tried to whisper about what we had just been through and how she hoped a new town would help me out.
My father had just left us and I'd gotten pretty down about it, I tried to kill myself and from that had spent the last 6 months in rehab. My mom was egger to get me back in school and with a new group of friends but she was still scared to loose the mother of the year award, I swear all she thought about was herself. I shook my head as I stared out at the same spot once again and wondered if I'd end up in school with him.
"Alright scarlet," My mom said putting her hands on my shoulders as she came to sit behind me, "This is all ours now. Me, you, and a fresh start." She said happily as she hugged me and kissed my cheek.
002. Hell on Earth
"Aw scarlet you look so cute." My mother said as I stepped out of my room on Monday morning. I glared at her she was combining two of the things I hate the most, mornings and uniforms. I ran my hands over my short blue and white plaid skirt and looked up at her, "You never mentioned uniforms."
My mother ignored my comment and went on setting out food; I pulled my blue sweater closer to me. I was being forced to wear a white button down, a tie, and knee high socks and I hated every second of it. "Eat up you'll need it." She said as she handed me a plate with pancakes and bacon that was smiling up at me.
"My food has a face." I said discomforted as I started down at it, my mother had officially lost her mind. I ate as fast as I could so I could get out of that house. My mother handed me a box of food that was tied in a blue handkerchief, "Thanks." I said grabbing my black messenger bag and bolting out the door.
"Have a good day sweet heart." She said calling out the front door as I started towards school. I never liked school it always seemed so dumb to me; I mean I could read and do math at a college level so why did I have to attend public school?
I kept my head down most of the way as I watched my feet glide across the cobblestone ground. As I approached the school I looked up and saw kids all meeting up and hugging, greeting each other like I had never been greeted. I tried to push away the thoughts of the boy from the window as I walked into the office. There was a young girl behind the desk she flashed me a smile and walked over to me, "Can I help you?"
"I'm scarlet parrish. I'm new. They said you'd have my schedule and everything." I said looking away from the pretty girl as she smiled and went to finding my folder and handing me my things.
"If you get lost or need any help you can always come back here and we'll point you in the right direction." She said, taking my queue to leave I turned and started for the door. I ran face first into someone that I hadn't seen before; I dropped all of my things. "Sorry." I whispered as I reached down for my stuff.
The hands of a guy reached down at the same time and for the first time I looked up and staring me in the face was the very same boy from the window. My cheeks grew warm as I looked away from him, "I didn't see you, sorry." I said trying to get my things from him.
"You're the girl from the window." He said setting something down on the desk for the blonde girl. He looked me up and down then stopped at my face and smiled as he tucked my papers into his back pocket.
"Yes. Those are my things can I have them back please?" I asked. He looked better than I remembered, he was standing in there in the same white shirt and tie I was but he was wearing a pair of blue slacks as he just smirked at me.
"Roxas she's new why don't you show her around? Her classes are near yours." The blonde said. Damn her, I thought as I looked up at his bright blue eyes.
"Yeah no problem." he said smiling, "I'm Roxas and you are?" He asked sounding genuinely interested in my answer. As he picked up my backpack and started for the door.
"I'm scarlet. And you really don't have to show me around." I said taking my things from his pocket when he wasn't paying any attention.
"It's cool. I don't mind." He said smiling as the tough guy from the other day walked by and gave him a thumbs up. Roxas laughed and shook his head and looked back at me, "Where is your locker?" He asked.
"Um it says g-42." I said looking so confused.
"Right next to mine." He said smirking.
003. The Usual Spot
The rest of the day every time I turned around he was there, and boy was he starting to look better and better as the day went by. By lunch he'd loosened his tie and unbuttoned his top two buttons, his gel was starting to loosen in his hair and it was starting to become disheveled. He let me sit with him at lunch and refused to let me carry all my books, "Roxas do you have friends?" I asked seeing as how I hadnt seen any all day.
"Oh yeah. You want to meet them?" He asked. We were walking towards my house; I'd taken off my sweater and rolled up my sleeves. He was still carrying my bag as we got closer to my house.
"Um sure. But not dressed like this. Can I change?" I asked with a small smile as we got to the stoop of my house.
"No problem." he said smiling at me as I climbed the stairs. I didn't peg him for a pervert so I didn't bother to hold my skirt as I climbed the stairs. When I reached the top and had my hand on the door knob I turned back to look at him. He looked so at home just leaning against the rail to the stairs as he looked out at the passing train.
"You want to come in?" I asked shyly. "It's not much because we just moved in, I mean there are boxes literally everywhere." I said smiling softly at him.
"Yeah." He said smirking as his blue eyes seemed to glisten. He bound up the stairs in just a few steps and entered after me as I unlocked the door. "My mom isn't home yet so make yourself at home." I said as I went back to my room. Instead of doing as he was told and taking a seat in the living room he fallowed me into my room and bounced onto my bed.
"So this is where it all happens." he said joking as he put his hands behind his head. I laughed and threw my tie at him and started rummaging through a box that was sitting on the floor.
"So you going to give us a show?" He asked playfully as I pulled out an escape the fate - chariot t-shirt and some skinnie jeans and some black converses. I pushed Roxas out of my room long enough for me to change into the dress and slip on a pair of white sandals. I walked out and he wasn't there. "Roxas?" I called confused.
"Kitchen." He shouted with what seemed like a happy tone. I walked into the kitchen my hand clutching my bare arm in a gesture that always made me seemed frightened. Roxas had his back to me. I tapped his shoulder wondering what he was doing; he turned around pink frosting on his nose as he had a half eaten cupcake in his hands.
The old feeling of laughing came up in my stomach as I closed my eyes and started chuckling for the first in a long time; Roxas smiled and then started to laugh with me. We laughed for what seemed like an eternity as we stood in my kitchen, him with pink icing on his nose and me just happy as ever. Once my stomach started to hurt I stopped laughing slowly as Roxas had a devious grin playing on his face. "What?" I asked confused my eyes widening.
He quickly spread the rest of the pink frosting along my cheek, I squealed and we both burst out laughing again. I reached up taking the icing off his nose and licking it from my finger; he reached over doing the same to my cheek. He took my hand and pulled me out of the house, "We should go. My friends hate it when I take forever to get there." He said smiling.
He pulled me along a back alleyway and into a small alcove that was separated by a gate on one side and a hanging cloth on the other. The three kids I'd seen him with before were all sitting there smiles on their faces as they all talked together.
"Hey guys." Roxas said smiling. The large one with the camera lifted his lens to snap my picture, "Who is the girl with you?" He asked smiling.
"This is Scarlet." Roxas said softly as he looked at each of his friends. The one that had looked like he was trying to be tough came up and gave Roxas a high five then smiled at me, "I'm Hayner." he said smirking as he returned to sitting on top of what looked like a freezer.
The girl ran up to Roxas hugging him and kissing his cheek, I knew he had a girl, I thought as she looked back to me, "I'm Olette." She said giving me a quick hug before she went and sat where she had been before.
The guy with the camera came up and did that weird half hug half handshake thing that guys did before turning to look at me. "I'm Pence." He said smiling and scratching the back of his head.
I looked up at Roxas and he smiled as he motioned for me to come sit with him. I sat there for a long time it seemed, when we were with other people I seamed kind of invisible to him but that couldn't keep the liking from welling in my heart and hurting every time she touched him.
004. Sunset Hill
After a while of sitting around and eating sea salt flavored popsicles they all decided to hop the train over to the other side of town. I never wondered to far from Roxas, not wanting to get lost but unfortunately Olette was also always close by and I wasn't the kind of girl to step on someone else's toes.
Once everyone was tiered we all walked up and sat on top of Sunset Hill with our legs dangling off the edge while we leaned against the railing.
"What's up losers?" I heard a biting voice ask from behind us, I turned around with the rest of Roxas' friends to find a blonde guy that looked really mean. Not realizing what I was doing I scooted closer to Roxas his arm circling my waist in a protective manor, "Oh what's this? Roxas has a little girlfriend. Aw how cute." He said in a vicious way that was meant to make us feel small and horrible about ourselves.
To my surprise Roxas only tightened his grip on my waist, "Get out of her Seifer." He almost growled. Hayner, Pence, and Olette all stared at him in disbelief my own face resembling their questioning looks.
"I don't have to loser boy." He said his eyes scanning over me and pausing at my chest, my brow furrowed as I pressed myself closer to Roxas.
"Yeah Seifer's his own boss, y'know." One of his stupid crones said from beside him.
"Hey has your little girlfriend told you just why she's here?" He asked shooting me a knowing look that was half pity and half anger, the later of which I'm guessing was really meant for Roxas. After getting in the last word Seifer walked away his crones fallowing him, the girl pausing slightly to turn and send me an apologetic look.
"What did he mean by that?" Roxas asked pulling his arm away from me, his eyes expressing his concern as the rest of the group turned to face me the questioning visible on everyone's face.
I closed my eyes and took a plunge I thought I'd never be able to, "My father left my mother because of me. I got really upset and swallowed about ten Oxicodene and almost overdosed. I'm better now but my mom thought the change of pace would be good for me." I said opening my eyes and taking a deep breath, they all sat there looking dumbfounded. I was expecting them to laugh like the kids at my old school had but instead their expressions changed to ones of concern.
"I'm sure it wasn't your fault." Olette said reaching over to tuck my hair behind my ear, "You're a really good kid." She said smiling.
"Yeah I'm sure your dad's just an ass who gets his jollies by hurting you and your mom, and if that's the case you don't need the fucker." Hayner said sounding really angry at my father for what he'd put us through.
"Yeah, who could ever want to hurt a face like that?" Pence said holding up one of the pictures he'd taken of me that day. I smiled at all of them realizing just how much I liked them and how thankful I was that they didn't disown me like everyone else had when the found out.
Roxas' voice was whispered just where I could hear, "Who could ever blame you for anything but being easy to fall in love with?" He asked. I kept my face down my hair serving as a curtain so he hopefully wouldn't notice my bright red cheeks.
"Thanks you guys." I said softly as they all gave me a look like I was stupid. "When the kids found out at my old school they laughed." I said chuckling now as I thought about the cruel kids that I'd never really liked in the first place.
"Well they don't deserve to hang around with you." Hayner said standing up and stretching, he offered Olette a hand as we all started to get up. Falling in step as we all started back home with smiles on our faces as we all started talking happily.
005. Plans for Break
The last day of school before summer break was a hot one, as we could all feel summer approaching a few months early. "SCARLET!!!" Someone called as I spun around to find Hayner running towards me with a huge smile as he waved some kind of paper at me. It seemed like only yesterday I thought he was some tough guy and I was just starting school in the middle of the year. But ever since the day at sunset hill everyone opened up to me and reviled who they really were, but Hayner's came as the biggest shock.
"I got all A's." He practically shouted as he stopped in front of me out of breath, looking both ways before he hugged me quickly, "Uh thanks for the help." He said quickly, we both knew that he was trying not to break his act while out in public. I'd tutored the silly boy in most of his classes and showed him easier ways to remember things and as it seemed it paid off.
"No problem." I said punching him in the arm with a smile, which was something he'd taught me in return. He'd gotten me to loosen up and to play around with people, and as he promised it came naturally to me. Olette caught up to us and hooked her arm through mine, "Hey girly, you know school is officially out for break now." She said smiling.
We'd become close despite what she had with Roxas I actually did like Olette a lot plus she was super sweet and helped me with things like being able to say what I meant and not to mention how to get the guys to carry my stuff or run to grab me an ice cream. "Yup. So we got any plans?"
"The beach." A familiar voice joked from behind me, I turned to find Roxas with that goofy smile on his face as I gave him a quick hug. My heart beating faster at just that touch, "We all pitch in for a hotel room for the week." He said smirking, "Think you wanna come? I hear cupcakes get soggy in the water." He said laughing at the nick name that had stuck with me since out little icing fight in my kitchen.
"Yeah I wanna come. Who wouldn't want to spend a week at the beach, plus I look hot in a bikini." I said joking.
"All I heard was bikini and I want a picture." Pence said showing up as we all started to walk home. "So you coming with us this year scar?" He asked. There hadn't been anything more to Pence then what meats the eye, he was a major sweet heart and always had candy and a camera on hand. I nodded as Hayner and Olette turned down their street and Pence walked into his house, leaving me and Roxas.
"So how've you been?" He asked shoving his hands deep in the pockets of his school pants and staring down at the ground with such intensity I was amazed the ground didn't melt.
"I'm good. You doing okay?" I asked him softly as I saw my house get closer.
"Yeah just got a lot on my mind lately." He said flashing me a smile as he looked for my mother's car, "No mom? Is she ever home?" He asked chuckling.
"No not really. But it's easier that way. She leaves me alone when she isn't around." I said smiling as I climbed the steps to my front door he fallowed me and stopped at the top to give me a quick hug. "So what's on your mind lately?" I asked brushing his hair from his face.
"Just stuff." He said kicking a small pebble that was lying at the top of my stoop.
"Like what?" I asked suddenly in a rather nosey mood.
He smiled down at me, "You really want to know?" He asked hooking his arm around my waist.
"Yeah." I nodded my heat picking up pace again from his touch.
"This." He said cupping the side of my face with one hand and pressing his lips to my just briefly. He pulled away beaming, "I'll see you around cupcake." He said walking down the steps and starting towards his house. My mind cluttered with so many thoughts it wasn't funny, I shook my head and decided to pack for the beach. He couldn't have meant anything by that kiss; I mean he had Olette why would he ever want me over her?
006.Can't Take It (Lemon)
"You girls want ice cream?" Hayner asked as we grew close to the ice cream place on the board walk, Pence's face lit up at the mention of ice cream.
"Sure." I said as Olette nodded at them, the three guys running off. Olette and I sat there talking waiting for them to come back, "You know Roxas likes you; just promise me you won't break his heart."
"Olette are you serious? He likes me? I though you and him had something going on." I asked my jaw dropping was we watched the boys came walking towards us, two extra popsicles hanging from their fingers.
"No Roxas has never been anything more to me than a brother. And he really does like you." She said her eyes seeming to be glued to the way Hayner was walking. "Plus Hayner is so much hotter." She said giggling in that girly way she had.
"Wow." Was all I could say as the boy's came back, Hayner sitting next to Olette and Roxas next to me.
"Smile and say 'ice cream'." Pence said holding up his camera for a picture. I wiped the shocked look off my face and smiled for his picture.
"So you girls miss us?" Hayner asked elbowing Olette in the side, she giggled again.
"Nope because we were talking about you anyway." She taunted.
"What about us?" They both asked, she smirked and refused to tell them. The rest of the day the two of them kept pestering us about what we'd been talking about. Roxas was walking me home while I was chewing on my lip trying to figure if I should make a move or not. I unlocked the door to our hotel suite that we were all sharing as he fallowed in happily, we both knew my it was empty and no one would be around for a while.
I walked back to my room him fallowing as I pulled off my jacket and starting to take off my tank top.
"scarlet I can't take it any more." He said as he pushed his hands through my hair and pulled me to him, my breath went out of me as I realized what was going to happen next. Roxas pressed his lips to mine as his hands pulled my face to his keeping the kiss going for a long time. He pressed me against the wall of the hall by my bedroom as he did so.
His hands wondered across my body as I wrapped my leg around him my shorts exposing a lard amount of my leg as he kept kissing me. My entire body ached for him wanting him more than anything, my fingers trembling as I ran my hands through his blonde spiky hair.
I pushed him back for a second and grabbed his hand in mine, pulling him towards the bedroom. He didn't like my taking charge so he swept me off my feet bridal style and took me to the large king sized canopy bed that was in the middle of the room.
He put me down quickly climbing on top of me and pinning me down to the bed with his legs as he leaned down kissing me while his hands wondered over my body. "I've wanted to touch you for so long." He whispered his voice husky in my ear as he leaned down and sucked on my neck. I set a hand on the back of his head and moaned sexually.
"I know Roxas, and Ive wanted you to touch me." I said as best I could with him now biting at my neck in such a way I wanted to scream out in ecstasy. My breathing was heavy as he once again pressed his lips to mine; my fingers were quickly unzipping his jacket and throwing it to the floor as he broke the kiss to pull my tank top from my body seeing as hed knocked my hands away from it before. His hands trailed up my leg as I fumbled with the button on his shorts, "Need help with that cupcake?" He asked smirking as he slid his shirt over his head to expose his beautiful bare chest that was tanned perfectly.
The sight was almost enough to make me pause in my attempt to get his pants off of him; he reached down and grabbed my hands putting them on his chest. He leaned down biting my neck again as I raked my nails down his back and moaned out, his hands slipped under my back and pulled my bathing suit top off. He pulled back and took in the sight of me topless and aroused by him, my body longing for his touch as he leaded down his kisses leading from my neck down to my breasts. He leaned down taking my left nipple in his mouth; I closed her eyes and moaned softly. His tongue and lips pulled gently at me causing me to moan louder as he kissed across to the other one.
I viciously pulled his mouth to mine as I wrapped both of my legs around him and grinding my hips against his; he seemed surprised by my vulgar move. He smiled against the kiss as he pulled my shorts from my legs he ran his hand against the inside of my thigh till he pushed a hand against my bottoms to my bathing suit. I was already wet and aching for him, as he rubbed slowly in circles. I tipped my head back moaning as I reached back for the button on his pants once again, he fastened his teeth around my neck biting softly as I finally undid his pants.
A smile on my face as I pushed the black shorts from his legs, I could feel him against me hard already as he kept moving his fingers on my underwear. "Stop teasing." I gasped as I pressed my body against him. He smirked as he slipped his hand inside my bottoms slowly slipping two fingers in me; I closed my eyes and slowly started moving my hips in time to him pumping his fingers in and out of me. I moaned loudly as I felt my stomach welling with a faint not-so-familiar feeling of hitting my climax.
Roxas smiled and licked his fingers as he looked up at me; I opened my eyes and smiled as I ran my hands through his blonde hair. He reached for his boxers and quickly pulled them from his body; he smirked and in turn pulled my bottoms from me. "Ready?" He asked me softly as he positioned himself between my legs.
"I've been ready since I laid eyes on you." I said smiling as he thrust inside me, I yelled out his name as I ran my nails down his back again. He seemed to take that was encouragement as he slammed into me harder and harder, I started to grind my hips against his as he thrust in to me. My stomach welled again as I tipped my head back and moaned loudly, I looked at him as he kept going harder and harder. "Roxas..." I said out of breath, "That's too hard." I said almost tearing up as he looked down at me.
He thrust in one last time and came in me before collapsing on top of me, "Oof. You're heavy." I said joking as he pulled out and rolled over beside me.
He looped one arm around me and nuzzled his face in my neck, "I love you, Olette." He whispered as my heart stopped.
007. 3 Months Later
"Wait is that?" Someone asked from behind me. "Oh my god it is. Scarlet!" The way too familiar girly voice called out. I ducked my head as I headed out of the administration building. It had been 3 months since that day at the beach when Roxas said he loved Olette, and I was just picking up my school records because when we moved I'd forgotten them. Now a week before my senior year of high school I had to run back to my old town to pick up papers, during orientation.
I kept my head low and kept walking as I pushed the sunglasses further up on my nose, turning the corner I pulled the hood of my jacket up and tucked my blonde hair back. Looking over my shoulder to see if Olette was still there I ran into someone, the memory from the first day of school came back to me. The office, the blonde, Roxas, my schedule in his back pocket. I looked up and found myself staring up at Roxas of all people, "SCARLET." He said sounding breathless. "Why'd you leave me that day?" He asked quickly jumping at the chance to interrogate me.
I turned away from him and started walking away from him once more, "Scarlet tell me! Please." He begged fallowing me still. I shook my head clutching my files to my chest as I started to walk faster, I could feel my stomach turn at the sound of him saying my name again. I felt his warm hand grabbing my arm and spinning me around to face him, my files dropping to the floor. "Answer me scarlet please." He said pressing me against the school wall.
I bit my lip and looked away from him as I tried to struggle away from his grip, "What happened Ivy? Why'd you leave me? I mean I sleep with you I say I love you and you leave me. Can you explain that?" He asked pulling my sunglasses off my face.
"You didn't say you loved me." I whispered trying to focus on something down the hall rather than the warmth of his body against mine and his slow breathing against my neck.
"What do you mean?" He asked sounding utterly confused.
I looked up at him tears forming in my eyes, "You said you loved Olette." I said staring at him.
I watched his eyes take on a darker tint as he thought back to that night three months ago, "Holy shit." He mumbled as I struggled against his grip.
"Can I have my glasses back? My mom's waiting on me." I whispered as he let go of me and handed me my glasses. I picked my files up off the ground and slipped my glasses back on hoping that he didn't see me start crying. "Bye Roxas." I said stepping out of the hall and into the cloudy afternoon. I pulled my jacket closer to me as it started to rain, I was trying to keep the papers from getting soaked but I didn't see my mother anywhere.
"Do something for me before you leave." Roxas said suddenly behind me.
"What?" I asked turning to face him.
"Tell me that this is a guy that's in love with another girl." He said grabbing my face in between his hands and pressing his lips passionately to mine as the rain came down around us. He pulled back and stared at me his eyes still that deeper color, "Now tell me I'm in love with her." He said as if he was getting revenge or something.
"I...I..." I started as I looked up at him, his hair had fallen down into his face and I knew my eyeliner had to be running out from under my shades. "I can't." I admitted.
He cupped my face again as he tore off my glasses and stared into my eyes, "Say you love me." He said resting his fore head against mine and closing his eyes against the rain.
I smiled as I set one of my hands on the back of his head and pulled him to me, god did it feel good to kiss him again. "I love you." I whispered pulling away as I dropped my soggy files on the ground.
"Don't leave me." He whispered as he wrapped his arm around my waist.
"I won't."
"Finally." I heard from behind us. We turned around together to find Pence, Hayner, and Olette standing huddled under the overhang for the school building. Hayner's arm was wrapped around Olette's waist as a cute red headed girl came up and kissed Pence on the cheek.
"I really missed a lot, didn't I?"
"Yeah but now that your here, you aren't going anywhere." He said tightening his grip around my waist and kissing me once more.
